Davis, Rockets rebound to beat La Center

The Castle Rock girls basketball team got right back on track after a disappointing loss to Kalama earlier in the week by notching a 49-44 win over La Center, Friday night, at home on LeBaron Court. Dakota Davis led the Rockets with a double-double that included a game-high 26 points to go with 15 rebounds, three blocks, three steals and two assists.

“Dakota Davis scored her career-high tonight,” Castle Rock coach Jordan Garbe said. “She was electric and really helped us get the win.”

But it was the rebounds in particular that put her and the rest of the Rockets over the top for the 1A Trico League victory.

On Wednesday the Rockets were unable to keep up with Kalama in a league loss, but they did all they could to put that memory all the way in the rearview mirror by the weekend.
