Beavers’ defense keys win over Tumwater

The Woodland girls basketball team earned a spot in the 2A District IV Tournament semifinals with a 63-27 win over Tumwater, Friday night, in a sweet Valentine’s Day development.

The Beavers saw three of their own reach double digits in the scoring column. It was Kennedy Bockert who led Woodland with a double-double that included a game-high 19 points and 15 rebounds

“We were pretty balanced. Four different girls hit threes,” Woodland coach Glen Flannagan said.
