2A GSHL: Woodland tops Mark Morris to set up dramatic league finales

The Woodland girls soccer team picked up a big win Saturday with a 1-0 result over Mark Morris in 2A Greater St. Helens League action in front of the home fans at Beaver Stadium.
The victory sets up a dramatic finish down the stretch, with Woodland, Mark Morris and Washougal all jockeying for the final three spots to the postseason.
Ruby Ingle scored the game-winner for the Beavers in the first half off an assist from Sophia Speranza.
Goalie Brooklyn Hayden notched five saves between the pipes in the win.
Woodland (4-10-1, 4-9 league) currently sits one game behind Mark Morris for the fifth playoff spot out of the 2A GSHL, and one game ahead of Washougal for the sixth and final playoff berth The Beavers will wrap up their regular season docket on Tuesday at Washougal on 6 p.m.
Mark Morris (6-9, 5-8) holds the fifth spot in the standings and will host Hockinson at Longview Memorial Stadium on Tuesday at 7 p.m. A win over the Hawks, or a loss by Woodland, would give the Monarchs the fifth spot.
