Flocking Ducks: Thomas, Toutle Lake toast Winlock 4-0

The Fighting Ducks enjoyed a night on the hunt when they dominated all facets of the game in a 4-0 win over Winlock, Wednesday, in Toutle. Olivia Thomas scored a pair of goals and tallied an assist for Toutle Lake in the Central 2B League girls soccer victory.
Sophomore Avery Ruelas opened the scoring in the 10th minute, marking the first time all season an actual high school student scored a goal for the Ducks.
And as if a great code had been cracked, sophomore Olivia Thomas followed suit with two goals of her own. The first of those scores came in the 25th minute and gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead at the intermission.
Thomas found the net once on a direct kick from the 27-yard mark, but got a little creative for the other score, cutting across the defense before picking her spot for the unassisted goal.
“(She) found the farthest wide corner she could,” Toutle Lake coach Alli Ostreim.
