‘Nooks come up one win short at Districts

The Chinooks didn’t accomplish everything they set out to do this season, but after making it to the final day of the 1A District IV Tournament at Borst Park in Centralia last week, the Kalama softball team has nothing to hang its head over.

Kalama’s luck ran out last Thursday in an 11-7 loss to La Center in extra innings on the dark side of the district tournament bracket. If they’d won that game the ‘Nooks would have been just one victory away from grabbing a State berth.
