Kelso picks up wins over Union, Camas
It’s been a busy week for the Kelso softball team, and it’s not over yet. The Lassies defeated Camas on Monday, fell to Skyview on Tuesday, and then picked up a win over Union on Thursday in a series of non-league games.
But the Lassies weren’t complaining about a busy week. Looking at the weather radar, they knew they were lucky to be playing ball at all.
“We got down there and it was humid… you could feel the heat coming off the turf,” Kelso coach Dean Sorensen said. “The weather was perfect for softball, in fact the girls were complaining it was too hot in the dugout.”
