Monarchs, Jills earn 1st Team All-League honors

The 2A All-GSHL volleyball team was voted on Sunday and announced to the media on Monday with numerous local players dotting the lists. Those recognitions included several locals from Mark Morris and R.A. Long on the first team.

Sydney Dreves of Columbia River was named the Overall Player of the Year, while teammate Sophia Gourley was tabbed as Offensive MVP. Callie Curran of Ridgefield was selected as the Setter MVP.

Ridgefield coach Sabrina Dobbs was chosen by her peers as Coach of the Year.

Mark Morris saw Analiz Birrueta and Aliyah Yaple chosen to the first team, and R.A. Long’s Jillian Woodruff was also picked for the first unit.
