Yaple leads Monarchs over Hockinson

Aliyah Yaple was nearly perfect for Mark Morris in a four-set win over Hockinson, Wednesday night. After bursting out of the gate in the opener the Monarchs took the 2A Greater St. Helens League volleyball tilt by scores of 25-3, 25-21, 24-26, and 25-13.

Along the way Yaple posted a team-high 13 kills without any errors and .680 hitting percentage to go along with five digs.

“In my 4 years coaching her, this was her best offensive effort,” MM coach Carmen Hewitt said. “She hit ferociously, and had Hockinson on their heels.”
