Red Devils fall in five at Centralia

The Red Devils lost a 5-set burner to the Trailblazers at Centralia College, Friday, in a NWAC West Region volleyball tilt that lived up to its billing, but didn’t live up to the visitor’s expectations. Lower Columbia won the opening set but dropped the match by flickering scores of 15-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15, 16-25 and 15-9.

Allison Orantes helped the Red Devils stay close with 14 assists and eight digs while Samantha Farland posted a team-high 13 kills.

But the Blazers were too balanced to be toppled. Avery Starr led the Centralia offense with 38 assists while Paige Miller turned in a team-high 12 kills. Lyndzie Filla added 16 digs for the hosts.
