Undefeated Red Devils make history

Clinching the NWAC South Region title in Friday's softball opener with Grays Harbor was only part of the fun as the Lower Columbia College Red Devils also set a team record for consecutive victories during their romp at Tam O'Shanter Park.
LCC bettered the old mark of 38 straight wins set in 2002 by taking the opener over the Chokers 8-0, and extended the win skein to 40 victories with a 15-2 drubbing in the nightcap.
In 2002, the Red Devils lost their fourth game of the season, and bounced back to roll-off 38 straight victories en route to the NWAC Championship and a 41-1 record.
