This Day In History
Mar. 20, 1954: The Clatskanie boys basketball team caps off its most successful season in school history with a third-place finish at the Oregon State A basketball tournament in Eugene, downing Madras 66-50 in the third-place game. Don Baisley came off the bench to lead the Tigers with 18 points, Johnny Glouse scored 17, and Larry Hermo added 12, the latter also ending up on the all-tournament second team. 6-foot-3 center Lew Harrison, who only scored five points but finished the run in Eugene shooting 50% from the field, made the first team.
