This Day In History
April 27, 1982: Craig Randolph gives Kelso all the runs it needs on one swing, hammering a grand slam to right-center in the sixth inning in a 4-3 Hilander win over Columbia River. Dan Mathews allowed three runs on five hits in a complete-game effort, and also kick-started Kelso’ rally with a single. Tom McIver followed with a knock and Dan Hanks legged out a bunt to load the bases, and a batter late, Randolph cleared them.
That Day In History
April 26, 1988: The Mark Morris boys soccer team gives away a 4-1 lead to Camas in a matter of 20 minutes in the second half, before Mark Fletcher puts the Monarchs in front for good on a header with eight minutes left for a 5-4 win. Erik Penner finished with two goals and an assist for MM, which also got goals from Marty Sudar and Mason Evans.
