This Day In History
Jan. 26, 1982: Mark Morris’ Wayne Deckman scores 40 points to set the Civil War single-game scoring record — which stands to this day — but R.A. Long comes away with a 71-68 win, snapping a seven-game winning streak in the series for the Monarchs.
That Day In History
Jan. 25, 2007: The Kalama girls basketball team doesn’t lead until the final minute of play, but does just enough to beat La Center 52-49 to remain perfect in SWW 1A Trico play. Mandy Wall, Kristin Schuh, and Amanda Clark all dropped in 12 points for the Chinooks; Shuch capped a double-double with 10 boards, while Wall had eight rebounds and Clark grabbed seven to go along with five assists and three steals.
