This Day In History

• Nov. 8, 2013: The Wahkiakum volleyball team gets hot at just the right time, capping a cinderella run through the 2B District 4 tournament with a 24-26, 26-21, 25-21, 26-24 win over Morton-White Pass in the title game. The Mules came into the tournament as the Central 2B League’s fourth seed before ripping off four straight wins. Tori Wegdahl led Wahkiakum with 18 kills, while Baylee Olsen had eight kills and five blocks. The Mules trailed the fourth set 24-21, but Kaylee Bryant served five straight points to end it.
