This Day In History
Apr. 4, 1997: Kelso’s Jess Turner doesn’t exactly shut R.A. Long’s lineup down in five innings on the hill, but does more than enough with his bat to make up for it, going 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, and four RBIs in a 15-8 win in Greater St. Helens Conference baseball action. Danny and Seth Johnson combined for five hits and Jeff Bailey added two more for the Hilanders, who took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the first inning and went on to score in every frame after that. Jesse Huezo had three hits and two RBIs for RAL.
