This Day In History

• Jan. 15, 2009: Ilwaco forces the Castle Rock boys basketball team into a rock fight, leading 9-4 after eight minutes of play, before the Rockets blast off to the tune of 60 points in the latter three quarters of a 64-48 win in SWW 1A Trico play.
  “Ilwaco tried to slow the pace down, but we were able to turn them over a little bit with pressure and got the speed of the game up,” CR coach Kevin Johnson said.
  Dustin Hamilton led the Rocket charge with 20 points, and Kyle Karnofski had 11. Jack Whealdon and Karl Oman scored 17 points each for the Fishermen.
