• Sept. 4, 2018: Mark Morris volleyball needs more than a couple comebacks for a season-opening 26-24, 25-22. 27-25 sweep of Kelso. The Monarchs barely held off the Hilanders in the first set, trailed the entire second before finally taking a 22-21 lead, and fell behind 10-1 in the third, ultimately fighting off four set points before taking the match. Grace Huhta and Elisabeth Weber led the MM offense with nine kills apiece, while Amber Lee had 18 digs.

  “We may be starting in holes,” MM coach Talia Hamer said. “But if it motivates them, that’s good with me.”
