This Day In History

• May 6, 2017: Toutle Lake gets a bit of luck to open its run in the 2B baseball district tournament, walking off 2-1 winners over Rainier (Wash.) on a dropped infield pop-up in the bottom of the seventh. The drama would only continue in the Ducks’ second game of the day, with Toutle beating Ocosta 5-4 in 10 innings to clinch its seventh straight State appearance. Jake Buck struck out 11 in seven innings to open the nightcap, and Lincoln Kessler and Ridge Moss took the Ducks through the final three frames.
