This Day In History
Oct. 22, 1976: Darren Talley – who the week prior had been so poor in practice his own father benched him – goes off for Mark Morris, piling up 173 yards and a touchdown in a 23-0 rivalry win over R.A. Long. The victory moves the Monarchs into a tie atop the Black Hills League standings, with Centralia.
“Tonight, well, he showed me something,” MM coach Del Talley said.
