May 11, 1973: Woodland hits three home runs in the first four innings — including a grand slam by Jeff Stark in the first — to take a 10-4 lead over Castle Rock, and holds on by the skin of its teeth to win 12-11 and clinch the 1A TriCo league title.

May 12, 2012: Alex McCormick picks a big stage for his first career home run, blasting a grand slam in the third inning that ends up being the difference in Kelso’s 7-4 win over Timberline in the 3A bi-district title game, giving the Hilanders their first ever bi-district crown.
