Making Wake: Local pools heating up for home stretch

Kelso finished fourth as a team at the Kelso Invite last Saturday at Gaither Pool.

Kelso freshman Jonah Jenkins finished second in the 500-yard freestyle race in 5:24.52. Junior Spencer Brown placed eighth in the 500-yard freestyle race in 6:16.69.

The 200-yard medley relay team of junior Spencer Brown, freshman Jonah Jenkins, junior Riley Milligan and senior Wyatt Straw placed seventh in 2:03.46.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of senior Dawson Johnson, senior Wyatt Straw, junior Riley Milligan and junior Justin Tran finished fifth in 1:44.78.

Kelso’s 400-yard freestyle relay team of junior Justin Tran, junior Spencer Brown, senior Dawson Johnson and freshman Jonah Jenkins took eighth place in 4:02.24.
