High School Boys Swimming

Mark Morris, R.A. Long aqua-men test mettle

The Monarchs and Lumberjacks had a busy week in swimming pools near and far with a mixed bag of results to show for their efforts.

On Saturday the Longview swimmers headed to the hinterlands north of Tumwater in order to participate in an invitational meet hosted by Kentridge High School at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. With 50 schools and roughly 670 swimmers in the mix the Monarchs and Jacks didn’t manage to crack the top of the list in team standings, but they did cobble together several impressive performances.

The Lumberjacks saw three swimmers set personal records, with one of those times also improving a previous District-qualifying mark.
