The 2A’s

The Mark Morris baseball team opened the season with four straight wins in non-league play earlier this spring. The Monarchs suffered a couple setbacks once league play began, so they’re going back to the drawing board before spring break is over in an effort to get back to how they once were.

Mark Morris won 7-4 against Woodland on March 30 in Longview but lost 5-3 against Hudson’s Bay on April 2 in Vancouver. The Monarchs bounced back with a 9-5 win against the Eagles on April 3 in Longview.

“This was a must win game for us. Last night was a poor representation of how our program plays baseball. I’m proud of how the boys bounced back and competed today,” MM head coach Brock Myklebust said.
