The R.A. Long boys soccer team managed to fend off the the ghouls of Grays Harbor and live to see another day in the 2A District IV Tournament with a 1-0 nail-biting victory at Aberdeen on Thursday.
“Jacks survive and move on,” RAL head coach Max Anderson stated upon departing Stewart Field and the banks of the muddy Wishkah River.
The Lumberjacks were able to reverse course in the nick of time as the unrelenting stream of postseason play attempted to wash them out to sea following a 3-1 loss at Hockinson just 48-hours earlier.
