The second day of competition in the WIAA and OSAA track and field championships came and went on Friday, leaving some area athletes on the outside looking in while others are gearing up for one final run — throw — or jump — on the final day of the high school sports season.
Oh, and Woodland’s Mason Thomas continued to demonstrate South Cowlitz County’s dominance in the pole vault by capturing the 2A State title in Tacoma.
