Nov. 21, 1992: Rainier caps off a gauntlet of a tournament with a 15-8, 9-15, 15-6 win over Sweet Home in the 3A state title game to bring home its first championship in program history. Lynn Robison led the offense with 13 kills, while Holly Cudworth had nine, and Autumn Taft added a pair of aces. The day before, the Columbians took down No. 1 Henley — the two-time defending champs — in the quarterfinals, then beat No. 2 Estacada in the semifinals.
