This Day In History
Oct. 11, 1985: Castle Rock does all its damage on one slog of a drive, taking the kickoff and going 87 yards on 15 plays in seven minutes to go ahead in what turned out to be a 7-0 win over Winlock. Sam Althof carried the rock nine times on the go-ahead drive alone, and capped it with a 2-yard dive, with Jerry Johnson kicking the extra point. The Cardinals drove into the red zone twice in the first half — dominating the time of possession — but the Rockets stopped them on fourth down twice.
