This Day In History
Apr. 6, 2012: Mack Gaul goes 3-for-4 with an RBI at the plate and earns the win on the mound with two scoreless innings of relief, and Toledo-Winlock takes a 5-0 win over Adna in non-league action. Phillip Smerek added a pair of RBIs and two doubles as part of a 4-for-4 day with the bat for the Warhawks.
That Day In History
Apr. 5, 2002: The Rainier baseball team rallies from a six-run deficit late, forcing extras with some small ball and walking off 7-6 winners over Clatskanie in the eighth on a Logan Andrews RBI sngle. The Columbians put together a five-run sixth inning on a pair of walks and four hits, then tied it up in the seventh when Grant Bergerson drew a walk, stole second, went to third on a sacrifice by Justin Coffman, and scored on another sacrifice by Broc Coffman.
