This Day In History
April 29, 1991: Mark Morris already had its ticket to the state boys soccer tournament booked, while R.A. Long was deep down in the GSHL standings, but an Aegir Thorisson goal in the final five minutes gave the Jacks all they’d need to pull out a 1-0 upset at Roy Morse Park. RAL Keeper Marc Johnson and Peter Madden combined to make 25 saves but kept their sheet clean to set up the late game-winner.
