This Day In History
April 22, 2007: Trevor May comes one punchout shy of matching Jason Schmidt’s Kelso single-game record, finishing with 19 in a complete-game four-hitter to lead the Hilanders to an 8-4 win over Camas.
“It was one of the single most dominating pitching performances I’ve seen in 18 years,” Kelso coach Scott Meeker said. “It was an amazing performance. He had three pitches that were just dancing out there.”
Two of the four runs May allowed were earned, but the Hilanders still trailed 4-1 going into the fifth, before Matt Parsons hit a two-run double to close the gap to one. Walks to Jammer Free and Blair Johnson kept the inning going, before Tal Bartell came off the bench to deliver a pinch-hit 2-RBI single that put the Hilanders ahead.

Small Ball Reports Wanted
Yesterday the brainpower over at N2 Media released the season’s first roundup of scores and reports from the littlest leagues across The Blast Zone. This spring and summer N2 and BZM will be working together to bring you regular reports from baseball diamonds around the area — but we need your help.
Please be sure your favorite teams GameChanger is updated with results (and full names!) so we can report on as my local athletes as possible. And coaches, please send us additional information on your favorite players and plays by emails to: nicksisson@n2media.tv
