This Day In History
Aprl 30, 2010: Freshman Ryan Littlefield swats a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to give Mark Morris a 13-10 win to kick off a 2A Greater St. Helens League doubleheader against Hockinson. Littlefield’s seventh home run of the season — an MM program record — saved the day after the Monarchs allowed nine runs to turn a 10-1 joy ride into a 10-10 tie. In the second game of the doubleheader, fellow freshman Tanner Brill hit a go-ahead single in the sixth inning, and senior Braydon Poole went the distance in a 143-pitch, 11-strikeout complete game for a 4-3 win.
