This Day in History
Sept. 23, 2005: The Kelso football team gets going in a hurry at Schroeder Field, and there’s little Washougal can do to stop the Scots in a 56-7 rout. Josh Townsend started the scoring with a 57-yard scamper on the first play of the game. One drive later, A.J. Marston outdid his teammate, going 73 yards on the first play of the possession; he added a 32-yard score a couple minutes later to surpass 100 yards on just two carries. Marston ended up scoring once more and finished with 148 yards, while Townsend added a 56-yard TD to his line and finished with 142 yards on just five carries.
