This day In History

• Nov. 18, 2006: Undefeated Toutle Lake finds itself in a 13-point hole in its state quarterfinal matchup against South Bend, before quarterback Dustin Elam leads the way back to a 27-13 win to send the Ducks to their first semifinal in seven years. Elam got the Ducks on the board midway through the second quarter with a 9-yard pass to Brandon Hoff, then kept it for a 70-yard touchdown run to tie the game going into halftime. James Davidson scored twice in the second half -- both he and Elam finished with over 100 yards on the ground — and the defense pitched a second-half shutout for the win.
