This Day In History
April 22, 2009: Evan Pickett hits an RBI single in the fourth inning, a two-run double in the fifth, and a solo home run in the seventh to lead Kelso’s comeback charge in a 6-4 win over Evergreen. The Hilanders trailed 4-0 after the Plainsmen got to David Hull for a four-spot in the second inning, but Hull bounced back by retiring 17 of the next 18 batters he faced. That gave the offense time to work, and after a three-spot in the fourth, Pickett put Kelso in front with his two-bagger into the gap in right-center field.
