May 5, 2005: Rainier softball gives up four runs in the top of the sixth inning to fall behind Scappoose (Ore.) 4-1, but the Columbians respond with three runs in the bottom half of the frame to tie the game back up, then win on Megan Benson’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to score Kaylie Mohning for their sixth straight victory.

May 4, 2012: At the 20-school Southwest Washington Classic meet, Brett Chatput launches the discus 163 feet, 8 inches -- winning the event by over a foot, setting the high mark for 2B boys in the state that season, and breaking a 35-year-old Wahkiakum school record, held by Ed Cochran, by an inch.
