This Day In History
Oct. 10, 2002: Castle Rock defensive end Matt Wheeler stonewalls Ilwaco tailback Heath Miller on a two-point conversion attempt in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, keeping the Rockets in front by two points, and quarterback Nathan Roubicek ices their 28-26 win with a 16-yard naked bootleg on fourth-and-6. Believe it or not, it was the least stressful win in a month for The Rock, which in the two weeks prior had beaten White Salmon 32-29 on a Hail Mary, and won 22-21 vs. Ridgefield thanks to a blocked extra point.
