This Day In History
May 13, 2004: Woodland scores three runs in the top of the seventh to come from behind to beat Elma 5-3 in the first round of the 2A District Tournament. Seth Drake — playing on a bad ankle — went 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of stolen bases and scored the game-tying run on an RBI single by Matt Livermore. The Beavers went on to take the lead on a double steal, and padded the gap on an Elma error. Livermore, who relieved Ty Drake on the hill in the sixth inning, earned the win with a pair of no-hit frames.
