This Day In History
Mar. 28, 2013: The Naselle softball team’s matchup against Oakville is heavy on runs, hits, and innings, but the Comets finally get the job done to win 15-13 in 10 to earn their first victory of the season. Kenzie Matthew put Naselle in front in the top of the 10th with an RBI single, then came home to score on Kirsten Scrabeck’s fifth hit of the game to put the Comets up by two. Shae Trost finally ended things in the bottom half of the inning, diving to make a catch in center field before doubling off a runner for the final out.
