May 21, 2004: Loren Duvall clears 15 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault to set a new Mark Morris record, a new Longview Memorial Stadium record, and a new 3A district meet record, and the Monarchs beat out River Ridge by one singular point for the team title. Duvall had set the previous meet record the season before, at 14 feet, 3 inches.
