This Day In History
Oct. 29, 1999: Mark Morris takes a late lead over Camas on some trickery, with Alex Spencer taking an inside reverse out of the Wing-T and going 61 yards for a touchdown in a 12-6 win.
“It’s a great play if you execute it,” MM coach Kurt Gray said. “And we happened to execute it pretty darn well right there.”
Quarterback Reese Baker, who finished with 143 yards on the ground, scored the Monarchs’ first touchdown on a 56-yard option, and the MM defense surrendered just 53 total yards in the second half.
