This Day In History
May 10, 1976: Very little was pretty for the Toutle Lake baseball team in its first-round matchup against Boistfort in the B District Tournament — excerpt the final result. Played in a driving rainstorm, the Ducks — who scored in each of the first four innings — gave up 11 runs between the fifth and sixth frames to fall behind, before exploding for 12 in the bottom of the sixth to run away to a 19-12 win. The Ducks knocked 20 hits, led by Lynn Higgins’ 4-for-5 day at the plate, which helped them work around 12 errors in the field.

Thank you for taking the time to check in. We were slated to cover the meet in Ridgefield but our reporter wound up sick that day. You can expect a full report for that event, and others, early this week. Additionally, are set to have both photographers and reporters on site for the State Championships later this month. Thanks for reading!
Just wondering if there will be any coverage on the Spudder track & field track classic on 5/9/25. A premier event for 20+ high schools in sw Washington. Great coverage on baseball, softball, soccer, golf, tennis but really weak on track.
