This Day In History
May 24, 1985: Mark Morris’ Mark Millard and Jeff Wright both bring home AAA-AA state track and field titles, the former clearing 13 feet in the pole vault and the latter running the 110-meter hurdles in 14.95. They’re the third and fourth individual champions for MM coach Chuck Byers, who retires after his 19th season in charge.
