This Day In History
April 28, 1998: Down a run entering the final frame, the Castle Rock baseball team scores twice to walk off 6-5 winners over Ridgefield in the first game of a doubleheader and take home the 1A Trico division title.
“The kids got behind, but they wouldn’t give in, CR coach Dennis Mackey said.
Ryan Crisman logged three hits for the Rockets, and Nate Watry moved his record on the hill to 8-0 on the season, allowing five runs on five hits.
